I’ve always believed that falling in love with a person who’s better than me is a bad idea. And falling in love with a person who I’m evenly matched with is a good idea.
I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I feel a sense of security being with a person who’s not too high. A feeling that I am good enough for that person.
But when I fell in love—I learned that equality is nothing more than an idea.
I learned that I will always be good enough for the person who truly loves me.
True. Nice piece

Yes. I suppose once we love and accept ourselves then it really doesn’t matter if someone is better or not – they will be equal and fair in our eyes.

Beautiful! I like how you capture not just the process of accepting love from someone, but on accepting the love you have to give yourself in this short poet. Great job!

Interesting thought. Although I’m nearly 18, I never think it’d be a good idea to fall in love with someone too good 😂 lets see how things work out though! Btw, nice poetry 😊
