The Theme Song Of My Future Novel

It has been three months now since this song was released and I can’t live a single day without listening to this song.

This song makes me see through the entirety of my novel. It feels like I’m watching my future novel in a movie. This is what I want my readers to feel when they first read and finish my novel. Like the closing credits scene which is usually where they play the theme song of the movie.

I actually have a soundtrack for each chapter. And I never have seen a novel with a CD in it maybe because it costs royalty which is why I think I’ll just drop some music names in some chapters of my book.

But I feel like it would take me a decade before I release my debut novel. With all the editing and the errors, I could make when I’m on page 199 and then realize there’s a plot hole and I have to go back to page fifty or something ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

But that’s why there’s the first draft so I can edit errors later. I’m trying not to be a perfectionist aka Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

But it’s okay because I’m not really rushing it and I have a lot of faith in it ๐Ÿ™‚

The book, by the way, is a romantic mental illness book and I’ve been reading books inside the genre.

I’m nearly done with Silver Linings Playbook.

Books I want to read next:

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Path

It’s Kind Of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

And then I’ll take a break and read poetry books by Lang Leav.

Then read some romantic novelettes.

Novelettes are so short, and it’s so tempting to make one.

  1. I have recently become infatuated with fixing songs in my posts these days too! There’s just some feel you get when you hear that song that so perfectly describes a post you are writing, or one you wrote! Hahah.

All the best with writing your novel! โค ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I can relate. After I heard “Death of a Bachelor” for the first time, I hit repeat button again and again for days, even weeks.
Good luck with your novel. Actually I’ve seen novel with music CD in it and it doesn’t cost too expensive. Maybe you can include music CD to your novel, too.

  3. My book took five years… Haha. But for good reason. When you are creating a world that doesnt exist you’d need to make sure no loopholes exist. Keep writing Darling… For Me I don’t have any songs in mind, but I want two people to write a song for my novel. Initially i wanted this for if my novel is loved enough for a movie, but I am thinking in your direction now… Haha
